Which Disney World Hotels Sleep Five People in One Room?
Published: October 2026

A family of five can stay together at several Walt Disney World resorts without booking two rooms. Options include select rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, family suites at Art of Animation and All-Star Music, and eligible rooms at several Deluxe resorts.
The important detail is the room category. A resort may offer accommodations for five without every room there sleeping five.
You also need to consider the beds. A room that works for two adults and three young children may not be comfortable—or eligible—for five adults.
Here’s how to narrow down your options.
Disney World Hotels That Sleep 5: Your Room Options
When comparing Disney World hotels that sleep 5, start with the room’s occupancy, bed sizes, and layout—not just the resort name.
Resort or accommodation | Option to consider | Important distinction |
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort | Eligible rooms with a child-size pull-down bed | Confirm a five-person configuration for your party |
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside | Standard Location – 5th Sleeper or another confirmed eligible category | The additional bed is child-size |
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort | Family Suite | Sleeps up to six; standard rooms are different |
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort | Family Suite | Sleeps up to six; Little Mermaid standard rooms are different |
Disney’s Contemporary Resort | Eligible five-person room | Confirm the category and bedding |
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort | Eligible five-person room | Hotel rooms and villa accommodations have different layouts |
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa | Eligible five-person room | Bedding varies by category |
Disney’s Beach Club Resort | Eligible five-person room | Confirm the arrangement for your party |
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort | Eligible five-person room | Confirm the arrangement for your party |
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn | Eligible five-person room | Not every category accommodates five |
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort | Cabin | Sleeps up to six in a separate cabin setting |
Select Disney Deluxe Villa resorts | Eligible studio or larger villa | Capacity varies by resort and accommodation type |
This is a starting list, not a promise that every option will be available for your dates. Enter everyone’s correct age when checking availability and review the specific accommodation before booking.
Which Moderate resorts sleep five?
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside offer room configurations with two queen beds and a child-size pull-down bed.
These can be useful options for two adults traveling with three children, particularly when the youngest child is comfortable in the smaller bed.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Caribbean Beach offers Standard Location and Preferred Location categories with bedding configurations that can include a child-size pull-down bed.
Because the published categories can list more than one bed arrangement, confirm that the reservation accommodates your full party. Do not book for four and assume a fifth bed will be available when you arrive.
Caribbean Beach may also appeal to families interested in Disney Skyliner access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Riverside has a specific Standard Location – 5th Sleeper category in its Alligator Bayou section. It includes two queen beds and a child-size pull-down bed.
Some Preferred Location rooms also have a fifth sleeper, but the category includes different configurations. Confirm the arrangement you need.
Royal Guest Rooms are not the five-person alternative: they have two queen beds without the additional child-size sleeper.
💡 Adventure Advisor Tip
Tell us who will sleep in each bed—not just that you have five people. Two adults with three elementary-aged children have different needs from parents traveling with three tall teenagers. A room can fit your reservation without being the most comfortable choice for your family.
Can an adult or teenager use the fifth-sleeper bed?
The additional pull-down beds at Caribbean Beach and Riverside are child-size. They should not be treated as interchangeable with a twin or queen bed.
For a taller child, teenager, or adult, compare other accommodations rather than assuming the smaller sleeper will work.
Disney’s room descriptions distinguish these beds from adult sleeping arrangements. Your party’s ages and the room’s permitted occupancy both matter.
When you request a quote, include any concerns about height, bed sharing, or mobility. Those details can change which rooms we recommend.
Which Disney Value resorts have family suites?
Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort offer Family Suites that sleep up to six guests.
Both provide a separate bedroom, additional sleeping space in the living area, a kitchenette, and two bathrooms.
That second bathroom can be a meaningful upgrade when five people are getting ready for an early park morning.
Family suite | Published bed arrangement | Why compare it? |
All-Star Music | One queen bed and two queen-size pull-down beds | Queen-size sleeping surfaces throughout |
Art of Animation | One queen bed, one double-size sleeper sofa, and one double-size pull-down bed | Disney and Pixar theming, plus Skyliner access |

At Art of Animation, family suites are themed to Finding Nemo, Cars, and The Lion King. The Little Mermaid section has standard rooms, not family suites.
At All-Star Music, make sure you select a Family Suite. A standard room at the same resort does not provide the same capacity or layout.
Can five people stay in a regular Deluxe resort room?
Yes. Several Disney Deluxe resorts offer traditional hotel-room categories that accommodate up to five guests.

Options include Contemporary, Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and BoardWalk Inn.
Many eligible configurations include two queen beds and an additional daybed or sleeper. However, room categories and bedding vary.
Do not assume every Deluxe hotel—or every room within a hotel—sleeps five. Confirm the specific category for your complete party.
A Deluxe room may be worth comparing when its location or amenities fit your plans. It does not necessarily provide a separate bedroom or a second bathroom like a family suite.
Do Disney villa studios sleep five?
Some do, but not all.
Examples of five-person studio options include eligible accommodations at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk Villas, and The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
The exact studio type matters. At Riviera, for example, a Deluxe Studio sleeps up to five, while a Tower Studio accommodates only two.
Larger villas may provide additional space, bedrooms, or household amenities, but those features vary by accommodation.
You do not need to own a Disney Vacation Club membership to book available villa accommodations through Disney as a cash reservation.
Are the Fort Wilderness cabins an option for five?
Yes. The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort sleep up to six guests.
A cabin is a different experience from a traditional hotel room. It is worth considering if your family likes the idea of separate accommodations in a wooded resort setting.
Compare the layout and how you will get around the resort alongside the price. A cabin may be appealing for one family and less convenient for another.
What if one of our five guests is under age three?
Many Disney resort accommodations allow one child under age three in addition to the room’s stated occupancy.
That means a family with two adults, two older children, and one child under three may have options that would not accommodate five guests ages three and older.
However, everyone—including the youngest child—must be included on the reservation. Confirm the allowance for the exact accommodation and consider where a crib or play yard would fit.
Under three means ages zero, one, or two. A three-year-old is not included in that exception.
What is the cheapest Disney hotel option for five people?
There is no single cheapest option for every family and travel date.
Start by comparing eligible Moderate fifth-sleeper rooms and All-Star Music Family Suites. Then check other suitable accommodations against current availability and offers.
Compare the total stay, not just the hotel category. A family suite at a Value resort is a different product from a standard Value room and may cost more than an eligible Moderate room.
Avoid choosing a smaller child-size sleeper solely to reduce the price if it will not suit the person using it.
Is one room better than two connecting rooms?
One confirmed accommodation can be simpler if keeping everyone together is essential. Two rooms may offer more space, beds, and bathrooms, but connecting-room availability and confirmation need careful attention.
Do not treat “connecting rooms requested” as equivalent to a confirmed suite or villa.
If an interior connecting door is essential for your family, tell your Adventure Advisor before booking. We can explain which arrangements are confirmed and which depend on a request.
💡 Adventure Advisor Tip
Compare the entire layout before deciding. A lower-priced room may be all you need if everyone sleeps comfortably and you spend most of the day in the parks. A separate bedroom and second bathroom may be worth more to a family managing naps, different bedtimes, or five people’s morning routines.
How do you choose the best Disney resort for your family of five?
Start with these questions:
How old will each child be during the stay?
Who will share beds?
Is anyone too tall for a child-size sleeper?
Do you need a separate bedroom?
Would a second bathroom make a difference?
Which parks will you visit most?
What is your total hotel budget?
Your answers help narrow the choices far more effectively than searching for the “best Disney hotel” without considering the room itself.
