What Is Included in a Disney Cruise—and What Costs Extra?
Published: October 22, 2026

A Disney cruise includes your stateroom, meals at included dining locations, Broadway-style shows, many onboard activities, eligible kids’ and teens’ clubs, and select nonalcoholic beverages. Additional expenses can include gratuities, alcoholic drinks, specialty dining, excursions, internet access, nursery care, souvenirs, and professional photos.
There is a lot included in a Disney cruise, but it is not completely all-inclusive. Knowing the difference helps you compare vacation options and avoid surprises on your onboard account.
What does your Disney cruise fare include?
Your fare covers more than a place to sleep. Much of your dining, entertainment, and onboard recreation is included, too.
Included in your cruise fare | Typically costs extra |
Your booked stateroom | Gratuities |
Rotational dining and other included meal locations | Premium and adults-only dining |
Select nonalcoholic beverages at designated locations | Alcohol, specialty coffees, and certain beverage orders |
Many room-service items | Certain items, deliveries, and discretionary room-service tips |
Broadway-style shows and many onboard activities | Select premium experiences |
Youth clubs for eligible children and teens | Nursery care |
Navigator app use on the ship’s network | General internet access, unless included with your accommodations |
Included beach experiences and lunch on applicable Disney island visits | Excursions, cabanas, select rentals, and other purchases |
Specific offerings vary by ship, itinerary, and accommodations. When comparing quotes, check which additional expenses have already been included in the total.
Are meals included on a Disney cruise?
Yes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are available at included dining locations without purchasing a separate dining package.
One of Disney Cruise Line’s signature experiences is rotational dining. You visit different designated restaurants during your sailing while your serving team stays with your dining party.
You also have included casual dining options when a sit-down meal does not fit your plans. The venues depend on your ship.
Premium and adults-only restaurants cost extra. Depending on the ship, these may include Palo, Palo Steakhouse, Remy, or Enchanté. They are optional additions—you do not need to purchase specialty dining to enjoy a complete dining experience.
💡 Adventure Advisor Tip
Before adding specialty dining, look at your ship’s included restaurants. On a shorter sailing, an extra dining reservation may mean missing an included restaurant experience you were excited about. We can help you weigh the options.
What drinks are included on a Disney cruise?
Select nonalcoholic drinks are included, but where and how you order matters.
Soft drinks, regular coffee, and tea served during meals are included. Designated self-service beverage locations also offer included options.
Alcoholic beverages, specialty coffees, bottled beverages, and certain other drink orders cost extra. Check menus at cafés, bars, lounges, and through room service rather than assuming the same beverage is complimentary everywhere.
That morning specialty latte and afternoon cocktail can absolutely be part of your vacation. They just need their own little place in the budget.
Is room service included on a Disney cruise?
Many room-service menu items are included in your cruise fare, but some items and deliveries carry a charge.
Room service offers a convenient option for meals and snacks when your family wants some downtime. Review the menu for applicable charges before ordering. A room-service gratuity is at your discretion.
Are shows and character greetings included?
Broadway-style stage shows and regular character greetings are included, along with many other onboard entertainment options.
Professional photos are a separate purchase. You can meet a character without buying a photo package.
Some experiences require reservations or have limited availability even when they are included. Other activities are premium experiences with an additional charge. Check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for your sailing’s schedule and details.
Are the kids’ clubs included on a Disney cruise?
Yes. Disney’s youth clubs are included for children and teens who meet the participation requirements.
Disney’s Oceaneer Club: Ages 3–10. Children must be fully toilet-trained for secured programming.
Edge: Ages 11–14.
Vibe: Ages 14–17.
Spaces and activities vary by ship.
Nursery care is different. Care at “it’s a small world” nursery! costs extra and is subject to availability. If you are traveling with a baby or toddler, include that potential expense when comparing your vacation options.

Are gratuities included in the cruise fare?
Gratuities are separate from the base cruise fare, although they may already appear in your quote if you have chosen to prepay them.
As of October 22, 2026, Disney recommends:
Standard accommodations: $16 per guest, per night.
Concierge accommodations: $27.25 per guest, per night.
These recommended amounts apply to infants and children, too.
A quick budgeting example
For a family of four sailing four nights in standard accommodations:
4 guests × 4 nights × $16 = $256
That is the current recommended gratuity total, separate from the cruise fare unless already added to your quote.
These gratuities cover designated dining and stateroom service roles. They do not cover every additional service. Disney also applies an 18% gratuity to specified purchases, including bar beverages, premium dining, and spa services.
Your Adventure Advisor can explain what your quote includes and help arrange prepaid gratuities.
Is Wi-Fi included on a Disney cruise?
Using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app on the ship’s Wi-Fi network is complimentary. General internet access is a separate service.
You do not need to purchase an internet package simply to use the app’s onboard planning features.
For browsing websites, checking email, social media, and other internet activities, Disney offers packages for purchase. Some accommodations include internet benefits, so confirm what applies to your reservation.
Download the Navigator app before leaving home so it is ready when you board.
What is included at Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay?
On sailings visiting Disney Castaway Cay or Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, guests can enjoy included beach experiences and a barbecue lunch.
Optional purchases may include Port Adventures, cabanas, select rentals, alcoholic beverages, and other extras.
A stop at a Disney island does not mean you need to purchase an excursion. You can build your day around the included offerings or choose an additional experience that interests your family.

What else costs extra on a Disney cruise?
Other potential onboard expenses include:
Spa and salon services.
Professional photo packages.
Souvenirs.
Select specialty snacks and treats.
Premium activities and experiences.
Port Adventures and other shore excursions.
Before booking an extra, check its price, reservation requirements, and cancellation terms. Availability and offerings vary by sailing.
Are flights, hotels, and transportation included?
Do not assume that your cruise quote includes flights, hotel stays, or transportation to the terminal.
Depending on your arrangements, you may also need to budget for:
Airfare or driving expenses.
A hotel before or after the sailing.
Airport and cruise-terminal transfers.
Parking.
Travel protection.
Meals outside the cruise.
Your Adventure Advisor can help coordinate these pieces and explain which are included in your vacation total.
Can you enjoy a Disney cruise without spending much extra onboard?
Yes. You can enjoy included dining, entertainment, youth activities, and other complimentary offerings while limiting optional purchases.
Start with your cruise fare, gratuities, and travel arrangements. Then add the experiences your family wants.
One family may prioritize a shore excursion. Another may choose professional photos or a specialty dinner. You do not need to purchase every upgrade to have a memorable vacation.
💡 Adventure Advisor Tip
Choose your priorities before boarding. A few planned extras are easier to budget for than a week of “just charge it to the room.” Your Adventure Advisor can help you sort out which experiences fit your family and which you can comfortably skip.
