BECOME A TRAVEL ADVISOR

WITH REAL SUPPORT BEHIND YOU

Loving travel is a great place to start. Becoming a great advisor takes training, consistency and a real commitment to serving your clients well. We’ll make sure you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

SEE IF WE’RE THE RIGHT FIT

IS THIS WORK ACTUALLY A GOOD FIT FOR YOU?

01

YOU CARE ABOUT PEOPLE

Clients need someone who listens, asks thoughtful questions and keeps their priorities at the center of the plan.

02

YOU NOTICE THE DETAILS

Dates, deadlines, policies and small preferences matter. You’re willing to slow down, double-check and follow through.

03

YOU’RE READY TO LEARN

Destinations, suppliers and systems keep changing. Strong advisors stay curious and keep building their knowledge.

04

YOU WANT TO BUILD SOMETHING

This is a real business—not a shortcut to discounted travel. Consistency, relationship-building and good service are part of the job.

A love of travel matters. So do patience, follow-through, clear communication and a willingness to keep learning. This may be a good fit if the work behind the vacation sounds just as meaningful as the vacation itself.

LOVING TRAVEL IS THE BEGINNING. HELPING PEOPLE TRAVEL WELL IS THE JOB.

There are exciting destinations and plenty of joyful moments, but much of this work happens behind the scenes: researching options, answering questions, tracking details, solving problems and showing up when clients need you. If that sounds satisfying—not discouraging—you may be in the right place.

STAYING CURRENT

Supplier policies and destinations change, so learning never really stops.

COMMUNICATING CLEARLY

Clients need useful answers and honest expectations throughout the planning process.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU APPLY?

Thinking about becoming a travel advisor? Here are honest answers to a few questions we hear most often.

DO I NEED TRAVEL-INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE?
Travel-industry experience is helpful, but it is not the only thing we consider. We are looking for people who are dependable, willing to learn, comfortable serving others and ready to treat this like a real business. A love of travel is a great beginning—but curiosity, follow-through and good communication matter just as much.

HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE?

That depends on your goals, how quickly you want to grow and how many clients you choose to serve. Most advisors begin part-time, but this is not passive income. Training, research, client communication, marketing and follow-up all require consistent time and attention. You do not need to be available every minute of the day, but your clients do need to know they can count on you.

HOW DO TRAVEL ADVISORS EARN INCOME?

Travel advisors generally earn commission on eligible travel they book. In most cases, the travel supplier pays the commission to the agency after the client has completed the trip. That means income is not immediate, and it can take time to build a steady business. We explain our compensation structure clearly before you make a commitment.

ARE THERE COSTS INVOLVED?

Yes. Building a legitimate travel business includes startup and ongoing expenses. These may include agency-related costs, professional tools, training requirements or other business expenses. We will explain the current costs before you decide whether joining Key to Adventure Travel Co. is right for you—no mystery fees or awkward surprises later.

WHAT TRAINING AND SUPPORT WILL I RECEIVE?

You will receive guidance to help you learn the travel business, understand our processes and begin working with clients confidently. Training also includes education from our travel partners and destination-specific learning. As you grow, you will have access to ongoing team support, shared knowledge and people who understand the questions that come with doing this work.

WILL CLIENTS BE GIVEN TO ME?

You should expect to build relationships, market your services and grow your own client base. We will provide guidance, tools and support to help you do that, but this is not a ready-made list of people waiting to book. The advisors who build strong businesses are the ones who consistently show up, serve their clients well and give people a reason to recommend them.

CAN I WORK FROM ANYWHERE?

Our advisors work remotely across the United States. You will need reliable internet access, a dependable way to communicate with clients and a workspace that allows you to handle personal information professionally. Remote does not mean disconnected—you will still be part of a collaborative team and responsible for staying engaged.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?

After you submit your application, our team will review it and contact you if we believe the opportunity may be a good fit. The next step is an honest conversation about your experience, goals, expectations and the support our agency provides. If we both decide to move forward, we’ll explain the agreement, current costs and onboarding process before you make a commitment.

Please note: Due to licensing requirements, we are currently unable to contract advisors residing in California, Hawaii or Washington.
