You’ll build your own client relationships with training and support behind you. From your first lessons, you’ll work directly with our owner and learn alongside a team that wants to see you succeed.
PERSONAL GUIDANCE FROM THE START

You’ll work one-on-one with Windy, our owner, through the Adventure Academy’s Launchpad and Essentials training. You’ll learn our processes, practice quotes and sample bookings, and get feedback before booking for clients.
PEOPLE TO LEARN ALONGSIDE
Bring your questions to a team of advisors who share knowledge and help each other grow. You’ll have ongoing support as you put your training into practice.
TRAINING THAT CONTINUES AS YOU GROW
The Lounge, part of our Adventure Academy, gives you additional training to explore at your own pace. You’ll also have supplier education to help you keep building your destination knowledge.

WHAT THE WORK
REALLY LOOKS LIKE
This is a mix of sales, research, detailed planning, and client service. Here’s what you’ll actually spend your time doing.
FIND AND CONNECT WITH CLIENTS
You’ll build your own client base by talking about what you do, marketing your services, following up with inquiries, and earning referrals. KAT provides guidance and resources, but clients are not automatically assigned to you. Building relationships is a regular part of the work.
PLAN AND BOOK THE RIGHT TRIP
You’ll learn what matters to each traveler, research options, explain the differences, create quotes, and help them choose a trip that fits. Once they’re ready, you’ll handle the reservation carefully and make sure they understand payments, deadlines, policies, and what happens next.
TAKE CARE OF CLIENTS THROUGHOUT THE JOURNEY
The work continues after a deposit is paid. You’ll monitor relevant promotions, keep track of important dates, answer questions, help with planning details, and assist when plans change. Good service also means communicating clearly and following through—even when the answer takes a little research.

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU APPLY?
Thinking about becoming a travel advisor? Here are honest answers to a few questions we hear most often.
DO I NEED TRAVEL-INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE?
Travel-industry experience is helpful, but it is not the only thing we consider. We are looking for people who are dependable, willing to learn, comfortable serving others and ready to treat this like a real business. A love of travel is a great beginning—but curiosity, follow-through and good communication matter just as much.
HOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE?
That depends on your goals, how quickly you want to grow and how many clients you choose to serve. Most advisors begin part-time, but this is not passive income. Training, research, client communication, marketing and follow-up all require consistent time and attention. You do not need to be available every minute of the day, but your clients do need to know they can count on you.
HOW DO TRAVEL ADVISORS EARN INCOME?
Travel advisors earn a share of the commission KAT receives on eligible bookings. Our standard advisor splits range from 70% to 90%, based on production, giving you a competitive starting point and the opportunity to earn a higher split as your business grows. Supplier commissions are generally paid after the client travels, so income is not immediate. We explain how the tiers and payment process work before you decide to join.
ARE THERE COSTS INVOLVED?
Yes. KAT has a competitive annual administrative fee that helps cover your training, agency email, shared resources, and agency insurance coverage. It is paid in two stages: one portion when you join and the second after you complete the Essentials portion of our Adventure Academy. The required TESS client-management software has a separate monthly cost. We explain the current amounts and exactly what’s included before you decide to join.
WHAT TRAINING AND SUPPORT WILL I RECEIVE?
You’ll start with the Adventure Launchpad, our onboarding and orientation program, and complete Disney’s College of Knowledge and Universal and U during your first 15 days. After Launchpad, you’ll complete the Essentials Classroom within 30 days, practicing quotes and sample bookings with one-on-one guidance from Windy. The Adventure Academy Lounge offers additional training at your own pace after you join, along with supplier education and team support.
WILL CLIENTS BE GIVEN TO ME?
You should expect to build relationships, market your services and grow your own client base. We will provide guidance, tools and support to help you do that, but this is not a ready-made list of people waiting to book. The advisors who build strong businesses are the ones who consistently show up, serve their clients well and give people a reason to recommend them.
CAN I WORK FROM ANYWHERE?
Our advisors work remotely across the United States. You will need reliable internet access, a dependable way to communicate with clients and a workspace that allows you to handle personal information professionally. Remote does not mean disconnected—you will still be part of a collaborative team and responsible for staying engaged.

After you submit your application, our team will review it and contact you if we believe the opportunity may be a good fit. The next step is an honest conversation about your experience, goals, expectations and the support our agency provides. If we both decide to move forward, we’ll explain the agreement, current costs and onboarding process before you make a commitment.
